Tourism Welcome in the Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic has set forth a strong initiative that supports international tourism. A comprehensive plan that addresses the challenges of travel during the COVID-19 pandemic is in place, and we are all working hard to ensure that our country remains a safe travel destination. Certified health protocols that apply to airports, hotels, restaurants and bars are verified by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) 'Safe Travels' program, along with Bureau Veritas, both world leaders in the tourism sector.
“Our goal is to minimize the effects of the pandemic and facilitate a responsible recovery that prioritizes health" shared Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader.
Hispaniola Beach Condos & Villas
The well-being and safety of visitors remains a priority for us in all of our properties, and we will continue to work in coordination with the relevant authorities, and adhere to all protocols to ensure a safe vacation experience for all of our guests.
Airport Arrivals & Screening
Passengers arriving to the Dominican Republic are met with randomly selected quick breath tests to diagnose for Covid-19. All passengers will also need to perform a temperature check. Passengers who present symptoms or whose test results are positive will be isolated and attended at authorized locations.
Airport terminals have established guidelines requiring social distancing as well as the mandatory use of face masks for employees and passengers. Outside of the airports, social distancing of at least 6.5 feet (2 meters) and the use of face masks in public places are required for the general and traveling public within indoor spaces and in areas where social distancing is not possible.
Resorts Exempt from Curfew
A curfew is in place for public establishments from Mondays to Fridays from 9pm to 5am, and Saturdays and Sundays from 7pm to 5am. The curfew does not apply to a resort setting, and guests are permitted to move freely within the property.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
